Hey! I am Hannah Jahn, a hairstylist in Dayton, Ohio, located at Aura Beauty Collective. I am a professionally trained curly stylist, but have a deep love for working with all hair types and textures. From pin straight to tight coils I have a true passion for haircutting. I am consistently working on elevating my craft by continuing to invest my education. I enjoy taking classes to further refine my techniques and bring out the best for every client.
If there were two words to describe my haircutting approach I would say intentional, and tailored. The time we spend together is completely customized to you, your hair type and goals. I strive to complete a cut that matches not only your personality and needs, but is complimentary to your lifestyle as well. I always want you to feel fulfilled as you leave but more importantly that your cut that remains effortlessly manageable long after you leave the chair.

HAIRCUTS
THE HAIRCUT - For clients without textured or curly hair. This service includes a wash, head massage and a precision cut and a style. A experience designed to keep your hair fresh and maintained to your style.
THE LONG CURLY CUT - THIS IS FOR LONG CURLY HAIR DOWN THE BACK. All new curly clients must be seen for either a long, mid or short curly cut based on your hair length before you can book the express dry cut. This is a experience where we dive into education, product knowledge, your specific goals and needs for your curls, your patterns and textures, debunking any curly myths you have seen on tik tok, and any other questions you may have. This is a full appointment catered to you and your hair and finding what works for you specifically.
THE MID LENGTH CURLY CUT - THIS IS FOR MEDIUM LENGTH HAIR BELOW THE SHOULDERS. All new curly clients must be seen for either a long, mid or short curly cut based on your hair length before you can book the express dry cut. This is a experience where we dive into education, product knowledge, your specific goals and needs for your curls, your patterns and textures, debunking any curly myths you have seen on tik tok, and any other questions you may have. This is a full appointment catered to you and your hair and finding what works for you specifically.
THE SHORT CURLY CUT- THIS IS FOR SHORT CURLY HAIR AT THE SHOULDERS OR ABOVE. All new curly clients must be seen for either a long, mid or short curly cut based on your hair length before you can book the express dry cut. This is a experience where we dive into education, product knowledge, your specific goals and needs for your curls, your patterns and textures, debunking any curly myths you have seen on tik tok, and any other questions you may have. This is a full appointment catered to you and your hair and finding what works for you specifically.
THE EXPRESS DRY CURLY CUT - THIS IS FOR RETURNING CLIENTS ONLY, THIS MAY NOT BE BOOKED FOR NEW CLIENTS. This is a dry cut that does not include a wash and style, just your maintenance cut fully dry with no styling. This is ideal for in between your regular curly cuts when you just need a shape up or a trim.
THE SHAPE UP - For straight and curly hair. This includes bang trims and framing clean ups, and all the hair from the ear forward. This is ideal for when you just feel shaggy and grown out in between appointments.
THE MENS CUT - A clipper or scissor cut, must be above the shoulder length. Includes a precision cut, wash, head massage and style.
THE DETOX - A detoxifying hair mask to remove dirt, oils, product, hard water and any minerals and buildup sitting on your hair and scalp.
WHAT IS A CURLY CUT?
A curly cut always starts with a thorough consultation. This is where we talk about any areas of concern, what your goals are for this appointment such as the cut, styling and any questions. That conversation helps me determine how we can create a cut thats not only stylish and true to you, but also something thats functional and fits your lifestyle. This service includes all textures from wavy to tight coils and everything in between.
Then comes the actual cut. The best way to come in for this appointment is with clean dry hair. The cut is done dry, exactly how your hair lives in its most natural state. This allows me to see how your curls fall and move naturally so I can shape them in a way that makes sense for your hair. No guessing, just a cut that works with your texture, not against it.
Every head of curls is different which is why I dont believe in a one size fits all approach. I take time to understand your curl pattern or patterns, how much hair you have, and hair goals so I can create a shape that feels like you. Its about bringing out the best in what you have, not changing it.
After the cut I will wash and style your curls in a way that fits your routine. We will go over products and finding out what works best for your texture and lifestyle. Wether you want a strong hold that will last a few days or something very soft and touchable with no hold at all, Ive got you covered. And im here for all the options in between!
